Newbury Twin Town Association

Newbury Twin Town Association welcomes you to our website which we hope will give you a little flavour of our beautiful twin towns. The association exists to promote educational, cultural and social exchange between each of our four twin towns. The association is independent of any other body and is not in anyway party political. We are proud to have the Newbury Town Mayor as our Patron who serves in this role throughout their year of office.

A committee of hard working members ensure an interesting programme of events throughout each year.  An annual reunion takes place in one or other of our twin towns, the atmosphere is always great fun and educational without being stuffy. Many members have a second language but most don’t and it’s surprisingly easy to communicate if you try.

Membership is open to all families or individuals.  We also have a Youth For Europe committee, which ensures that interested young people can participate in trips abroad.

Many long lasting friendships evolve and continue through twinning and it's hard to describe just how much goodwill exists between our continental cousins until you have sat, talked, listened, eaten and enjoyed one another's company.

If you would like to find out more about Newbury Twin Town Association and how you could become involved then please do not hesitate to contact us.
